It wouldn’t be wrong to call Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh as the power couple of Bollywood as the two continue to make headlines due to their adorable chemistry. Last year in November, the Bajirao Mastani stars got hitched in an intimate wedding and their photos had their fans drooling over the two. Both Deepika and Ranveer have always praised each other and are each other’s biggest support. In a recent interview, Deepika shared what drew her to the Gully Boy star.
Deepika revealed in an interview with Vogue magazine that it was the genuineness of Ranveer that drew her towards him. The Chhapaak actor stated that with Ranveer around, there is no holding back. Deepika mentioned that the Gully Boy actor is very good at expressing his emotions and is genuine and that is exactly what got to her. Prior to their wedding, Deepika and Ranveer have worked in 3 films together and now, they will be seen together again in the upcoming film, ‘83.
Deepika said, “There is no pretence with him, no holding back…People hate him or love him for that, but that’s who he is. He’s genuine…very good at articulating his feelings. He’s not afraid to cry. That’s what got me.” The actress also spoke about her own career graph and stated that she has also had failures while working in the industry and that she had no mentor. But, she remained determined and that is what kept her going.
Meanwhile, Deepika wrapped up her film, Chhapaak a while back. In the film, she will be seen as Malti. Chhapaak is based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal, the most known acid attack survivor. The film is helmed by Raazi director Meghna Gulzar and also star Vikrant Massey. Deepika’s first look as Malti surely impressed everyone. Chhapaak is slated to release on January 10, 2020. On the other hand, Deepika also will be seen in Kabir Khan’s ‘83 as Romi Dev. The film star Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev and is slated to release on April 10, 2020.
