One of Hrithik Roshan’s fan clubs also offered their deepest condolences and tweeted, “Our deepest condolences on the tragic demise of Mr J Om Prakash: a veteran stalwart of the industry and an adored family member of the Roshan Family.”
Hrithik Roshan’s maternal grandfather and filmmaker J Om Prakash has passed away at the age of 92. Trade source Akshaye Rathi shared this news of his unfortunate demise and tweeted, “Veteran filmmaker #JOmPrakash ji has passed away this morning. May God bless his soul & give his family the strength to cope with the loss. Condolences to @RakeshRoshan_Nji @iHrithik & everyone the family.”
It is a difficult time for Hrithik and his family as they have lost their close one. One can never imagine the pain a person goes through when their near and dear one leaves for heavenly abode.
Arpan, Bhagwan Dada, Apnapan, Aap Ki Kasam, Aasha, Aas Paas, Aap Ke Saath, Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh, Agnee, Aadmi aur Apsara among others are the films he directed. At the same time, the veteran filmmaker also bankrolled movies like Aandhi, Aaye Din Bahar Ke, Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke to name a few.
Hrithik Roshan was extremely close to his nana and he would often share things about him in his interviews. Also recently during the promotions of Super 30, HR had revealed that his nana is his super teacher. “#MySuperTeacher – My Nana who I lovingly call Deda, for the lessons he has taught me at every stage of my life, which I share with my kids now. And Dr Oza, my speech therapist as a child, who taught me to accept my weakness and helped me overcome my fear of stammer,” he had tweeted.
May filmmaker J Om Prakash’s soul rest in peace. His great contribution to the Hindi cinema will be always remembered.
