For those not in the know, Bachchan Pandey is being scheduled to release on Christmas 2020. The producer Saji along with Farhad and their writers were working on the script and Akshay’s character. It is going to be an action-comedy in which Akshay is known and is best at. “It’s a massy character and has several oneliners tailor-made for Akshay. A lot of time was also spent on designing his look,” a source close to the development told Mumbai Mirror.
And as per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the script is finalised and the ship is sailing to the second phase of pre-production. The makers are planning to begin filmming from February 2020. Wondering, so late? that’s because Akshay has A LOT lined up. He has to wrap a period film, he is also left to film minor chunks of Rohit Shetty directorial cop drama, Sooryavanshi. And you know, Akshay loves to wrap up films in a month and work on one film at a time. And given that fact, a source has informed Mirror that Bachchan Pandey too will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule. Despite having the script in place, the makers are still working on it.

The action-comedy, Bachchan Pandey will feature an ensemble cast. The film is to be shot in multiple locations across the country. Bachchan Pandey’s recce begins in November. “The production team will go location-hunting after the release of Housefull 4, which is also directed by Farhad. It will be shot at real-life locations in North and South India apart from sets in Mumbai,” the source told Mirror.
