Arjun Kapoor is updating and motivating his 10.4 million Instagram followers to work out. The actor has posted an image from his gym to his Insta story. In the picture, Arjun can be seen sitting in front of treadmills and weights, facing big gym balls, while clicking the picture with his cell phone. Along with the image, he has simply written the following caption, “It takes balls,” hinting at how hard he has to work for his sculpted muscles and chiselled physique. Arjun is quite an inspiration for those wanting to adopt a healthier lifestyle, lose weight and be fit.
The 2 States actor has previously revealed that he weighed 140 kgs at the age of 22 and could not run for more than 10 seconds. However, once he decided that he wanted to be in front of the camera rather than behind it, Arjun had to obviously make a huge change in his lifestyle. Following an intense fitness routine, the actor shed 53 kilos within two years, before making his debut with 2012 film Ishaqzaade.

It’s been a tough journey for me ever since I was a kid when it comes to my battle with obesity. Everyone has their own struggles I have had and continue to have mine. But the whole point of life is that we fall, we get back up and try again… efforts will pay off eventually if not today then in a week month or even a year… I started training with @shivohamofficial this January and slow and steady we have managed to At least lay a foundation during our prep for Panipat. I vowed never to give up in the 3 years it took me to lose 50kgs when I was 20 years old & I sure as hell won’t be giving up and letting go now… keeping the belief is key, u gotta keep at it and one day you will reap the benefits… we all gotta keep the faith and keep at it cause what we do today will echo in time and reflect within us eventually…
Arjun has been focusing on his training in order to appear bulkier in the upcoming period drama Panipat, directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar and co-starring Kriti Sanon as Parvati Bai and Sanjay Dutt as Ahmad Shah Abdali. Arjun, who will be portraying the historical figure Sadashiv Rao Bha, has been sharing updates on social media of his heavy workout routines. The film is slated for release on 6th December 2019. Earlier this year, Arjun had posted about his preps for the movie, saying, “It’s been a tough journey for me ever since I was a kid when it comes to my battle with obesity” and “keeping the belief is key, u gotta keep at it and one day you will reap the benefits… we all gotta keep the faith and keep at it cause what we do today will echo in time and reflect within us eventually….”
